
UT Men's Golf Starts Postseason With 6th-Place Finish at SSC Championships
MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's golf team participated at the three-day Sunshine State Conference Championships, battling back to place sixth overall.

- Jonty Marshall | 9th overall, 208 (-5)
- Ben Loudermilk | 13th overall, 210 (-3)
- Alex Mercier | 26th overall, 216 (+3)
- Henry Tschopp | 37th overall, 220 (+7)
- Derek Sanderson | 40th overall, 223 (+10)
Other Notables:
- Marshall led the Spartans for the fourth consecutive tournament.
- After carding a 70 in each of the first two rounds, Marshall had a 68 in Tuesday's round.
- Loudermilk was in the lineup for the first time since the St. Leo Invitational (2/20-21).
- The best round a Spartan individual was by Loudermilk with a 66 in round two.
- A.J. Ewart of Barry, the No. 9 player in the nation, was the individual medalist as he finished -16 with a 197 to win by six strokes.
- A total of 10 teams competed in the event.
- Tampa played the tournament as the nation's No. 17 team. A total of seven nationally-ranked teams competed, with No. 2 Barry winning the title. No.6 Nova Southeastern was the other top-10 team.
- Marshall is ranked the No. 73 in the nation.

Tampa expects to receive a bid to play at the NCAA Super Regional, which is scheduled for May 11-13 at Grande Oaks Golf Club in Davie, Fla.
