Spartans Continue to Dominate in SSC Play
TAMPA Fla. – The No. 2 ranked University of Tampa Spartans men's lacrosse team defeated the unranked Panthers of Florida Tech in a Saturday afternoon showdown.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
FIRST QUARTER
It did not take long for the Spartans to continue their stellar offensive attack from last game as they were able to score three goals in a 40 second span. Owen Miller scored the first for UT, followed by Bryan Wright and Ben French. To close out the quarter, senior Scott Phillips and sophomore Jack Wood were each able to score unassisted goals. || Score: 5-1 Tampa
SECOND QUARTER
The Ben French and Jack Wood duo showed out in the second quarter. French scored off a Wood assist, followed by back-to-back goals by Wood later in the quarter. With three minutes remaining in the second, French netted another goal off a Wood assist. Wood closed out the half by scoring an unassisted goal, giving him his fourth of the afternoon on five shot attempts. Sophomore Blake Ulmer was able to shutout the Panthers in the second quarter to preserve Tampa's nine-point advantage. || Score: 10-1 Tampa
THIRD QUARTER
Tampa continued where they left off with two goals scored by the duo of attackers Ben French and Jack Wood, with Wood assisting on the play. Florida Tech was able to narrow the deficit by scoring two more goals before Wood scored the third goal for UT of the quarter. || Score: 13-3 Tampa
FOURTH QUARTER
Jake Mosher-McGraw split defenders to score an unassisted goal to push the Spartans' lead back to 10. McGraw continued the action in the second half by assisting French on his sixth goal of the game. Sophomore Charlie Bolesh joined the scoring by netting his third goal of the season in the final five minutes of the match. Florida Tech ended the game by scoring three more in the final minutes of play. || Final Score: 16-7 Tampa

- Ben French led all scorers for a second consecutive game with six goals on 11 shot attempts.
- The duo of Ben French and Jack Wood combined for 11 goals and four assists.
- Ross Dickerson won 15 of his 20 faceoffs taken while also recovering 10 groundballs.
- Blake Ulmer recorded 11 saves.
- The Spartans' defense forced 24 turnovers
