
Spartans Second Overall to Host Gators at Mountain Dew Invite
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's cross country team ran to a second-place finish at the annual UF Mountain Dew Invitational.

- Paul Wales | 13th overall, 19:08.3
- Devon Sullivan | 18th overall, 19:17.5
- Luke Talham | 23rd place, 19:29.3
- Nathan Reffitt | 27th place, 19:36.3
OTHER NOTABLES:
- Hammill was the top Spartan runner in his first collegiate race.
- Fellow freshman Reffitt also finished in the team's top five as classmate Brian Veit finished 32nd overall.
- A total of 12 teams competed.
- Head coach Dror Vaknin had 22 runners compete in the race.
- Other Sunshine State Conference schools at the event were Saint Leo (3), Embry-Riddle (4) and Lynn (7).
