
Tampa Men's Cross Country Fourth at SSC Championships
LAKELAND, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's cross country team ran to a fourth-place finish at the 2021 Sunshine State Conference Championships.

- Devon Sullivan | 10th overall, 25:37.77
- Jared Hammill | 12th overall, 25:41.17
- Paul Wales | 14th overall, 25:42.44
- George Alexander | 26th overall, 26:36.60
- Shane Cohen | 28th place, 26:43.45
OTHER NOTABLES:
- Sullivan led the way for the Spartans for the fourth straight event, as he also established a new personal best in the 8K.
- Freshman Hammill was second among all Spartans at his first postseason collegiate race.
- Members of the Spartan top five joining Sullivan with a personal best were Wales and Alexander.
- Head coach Dror Vaknin registered 20 runners at the championships.
- Mason Jones from Florida Southern captured the individual title as he finished the 8K in 24:25.79.

The Spartans will run at the NCAA South Regional on Saturday, November 6. The race will take place at The Abbey Course at Saint Leo University.
