
Aaron Engelhardt Leads Group of Five UT All-SSC Performers
MELBOURNE, Fla. – Fourteen student-athletes are named to SSC Men's Cross Country All-Conference Teams following the 2023 conference championship. After capturing its 18th league title, Florida Southern College nabs five All-SSC honors, including four First Team awards.
League coaches voted for Runner, Freshman, and Coach of the Year awards, while runners who finish Top-14 at the 2023 SSC Men's Cross Country Championship earn All-SSC status. Florida Southern College hosted this year's championship at Holloway Park on October 21st.

Tanner Rosolino of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University collects Runner of the Year accolades in 2023. The Port Orange, Florida, native tallied three Top-5 finishes during the regular season, including second places at the Mocs Kickoff and the Florida State Invitational. He placed second at the SSC Championship meet with an 8,000-meter time of 24:55.9. The senior is the second consecutive Eagle to win the award and the third overall1.
ERAU's Nick Scarangelli is awarded Freshman of the Year. During the regular season, he had a pair of seventh-place victories in 8K races at Eastern Florida State and Saint Leo. The Ocean City, New Jersey native was the Top Freshman finisher at the SSC Championship, crossing the line in 17th place. Scarangelli is the fifth Eagle to be honored by conference coaches as Freshman of the Year2.

Mike Rosolino is awarded his fourth consecutive, fifth overall SSC Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year honor. Under his leadership, Embry-Riddle finished Top-5 in all six meets this Fall. The Eagles were runner-up against a field of 31 teams at the Florida State Invitational and runner-up against a field of 14 at their home meet. The 2023 ERAU squad finished second at the SSC Championship and ranks No. 28 in the USTFCCCA poll.
ERAU's Brendon Shea highlights the repeat All-SSC honorees following his third consecutive All-SSC honor. The SSC Cross Country Meet Champion repeats as First Team from 2022. He was also named Second Team in 2021. Tanner Rosolino also repeats as a First Team honoree from 2022. FSC's Anthony Matthew jumps to the First Team following a Second Team nod last year. Shea (2021), Tanner Rosolino (2019), and Matthew (2022) all earned Freshman of the Year laurels during their careers. Andrew Stowe (ERAU), Jared Hammill (University of Tampa), and Toinou Laigle (Palm Beach Atlantic University) earn a second career Second Team award.
