HOW IT HAPPENED
1st QUARTER
Over the course of the first few minutes, the Spartans got an early start before the Knights quickly tied the score at seven. The Knights then went on a 9-1 run to take a three-point lead (8-11). With two minutes remaining, the Spartans would tie the score with a three-pointer by Audrey Ramsey (11-11). 2nd QUARTER
Both teams were trading baskets early on, however the Spartans retained a marginal lead with nine minutes remaining (21-16). The Knights would quickly cut the defecit by a made jumper from Makayla Hemingway. Spartans, Sydney Kin converted a jump shot to put the Spartans up five with two-and-half minutes remaining (32-27). However, the Knights would again cut the Spartan's lead, tying in the closing seconds. | Score: 32-32
3rd QUARTER
Tampa came out urgent much like the first quarter, taking an early six point lead by the efforts of Sarah Jones and her three-point conversion. However, the Spartans momentum would be eviscerated quickly after Lynn converted back-to-back three-pointers to take a two-point lead (40-42). Melijah Sullivan converted a layup to regain the Spartan's lead with a minute remaining. However, the Knights would again equalize in the closing seconds. | Score: 48-48
4th QUARTER
The Knights set the tone early int he quarter, with a slight lead. However within two minutes, the Spartans would equalize and go on a 12-2 run with 3:30 seconds remaining. The Fighting Knights would then score on three consecutive possesions to tie the game (62-62). Spartan's Ramsey would hit a clutch three-pointer with 39 seconds remaining to put the Spartans up three. Then, the Spartans would outscore the Knights in free throws (9-5) to end the game.| Final: 74-68 (Tampa)
