3rd QUARTER
After halftime, the Spartans were still down as they fought to regain their lead cutting the deficit to as low as four points halfway through the quarter. Two made free throws by Audra Leipold closes out the third quarter. Score: 43-37 (Eckerd)
4th QUARTER
The Spartans opened the last quarter going on an 8-0 run putting them up 45-43 with over 5 minutes left in the game. From here, the scoring was back and forth as each team matched the others points. A miraculous and-one layup from Melijah Sullivan put Tampa up 55-54 over Eckerd with .8 seconds left. Her made free throw iced the game for the Spartans as they closed out a tough matchup.
