
After Suffering its First Loss, Women's Lacrosse Drops to No. 2
NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – West Chester University is now No. 1 in this week's Division II IWLCA Coaches Poll. The undefeated Golden Rams (9-0) continue to dominate PSAC play and will face No. 11 East Stroudsburg and Bloomsburg University this week.
Tampa drops to No. 2 after suffering its first loss of the season, falling 15-14 in overtime to No. 7 Embry-Riddle this past Saturday. The Spartans will play Rollins and Florida Tech this week.
Lynn moves up to No. 3 after defeating No. 6 Saint Leo 18-12.
Embry-Riddle climbs to No. 4 following its victory, while Florida Southern rounds out the Top 5.
In total, 25 teams are represented in the poll, with voters—representing college coaches from across the nation—reflecting on the latest developments in women's lacrosse. The rankings are based on weekly performances, with the poll set to be released each Monday throughout the season.
