UT Wins Hardware At John Hunter Regatta

GAINESVILLE, Ga. - The University of Tampa crew team competed in a pair of races at the John Hunter Regatta, winning a bronze in the varsity women's lightweight.

The third place finish came from the team of Caitlin Gunthrie, Polly Palhano, Alicia Thompson, and Alyssa Rodriques. The team medaled with a time of 8:33.

The Spartans also raced in the novice with a group consisting of Elisa Turney as coxswain and rowing was Melissa Ciesielski, Brianna Vaughan, Chelsea Michelson and Allison Rolfe.

Tampa is back in action on Fri., Apr. 9 in the two-day Florida Intercollegiate Rowing Association championships in Sarasota.
