Spartan Rowers in Action at John Hunter Regatta
UT achieves number of top efforts.
GAINESVILLE, Ga. - The University of Tampa rowing team competed in the collegiate races at the John Hunter Regatta on Saturday.
The Tampa Women's Pair placed first of three boats with a time of 8:35. The Spartan duo included Bridget Maxwell and Maddie Davidoff.
UT's Women's Varsity Lightweight 4+ finished second of seven boats with a time of 8:16. The boat included Danielle Menchen, Marissa Henderson, Sam Stewart and Cassie Bricker as the coxswain was Maxie-Lew Dunn.
In the Women's Novice 4+ race, the Spartans placed ninth of 20 boats with a time of 8:40. The UT boat consisted of Abbey Grau, Kiara Williams, Emily Moreira, and Erin Martin as the coxswain was Alana Ziegler.
The Spartans return to action on April 6-7 at the Florida Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships in Sarasota, Fla.
