#3 Tampa Keeps Rolling, Record Third Straight Shutout

Tampa, Fla. - The third-ranked University of Tampa women's soccer team recorded its third consecutive shutout with a 4-0 victory over Palm Beach Atlantic. The Spartans improve to 11-1, which is the best start in school history as UT also extended its homefield unbeaten streak to 28 matches.
Katie Callahan got Tampa on the board at the 17:42 mark with the first of four goals. All-time UT assist leader Samantha Robinson and Kara Rasmussen were credited with the assist on the game-winner. Shelby Kuni recorded her 16th goal of the season at 26:42 with Emily Stack recording her first assist as a Spartan on the score. Kuni moved within five goals of tying Tai Kirklin's school record for goals in a season.
Coming back from the half with a 2-0 lead, Tampa tacked on a pair of second-half goals to secure the shutout. Jocelyn Charette struck at 59:59 on a goal from Nicole Murphy, who recorded and unassisted goal at 66:03 to put the game out of reach.
Shannon Aitken notched her sixth shutout of the season as UT's all-time career leader in the category won her 11th game of the season. This marks the third consecutive shutout for Aitken.
The Spartans return to action on Tuuesday, October 10, when they host Rollins. The Sunshine State Conference matchup is scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm at Pepin Stadium.
