KANSAS CITY, Kans. - The University of Tampa women's soccer team is now ranked 18th in the NSCAA/adidas NCAA II Poll, after being ranked 20th in last week's release.
The Spartans now stand at 4-2 on the season and are winners of three straight matches. Both losses by the youthful Spartans came to ranked teams, including a 1-0 setback versus #1 Grand Valley State and a 2-0 loss to #13 Columbus State.
Tampa has now been represented in the national top-25 for 42 consecutive weeks. The 2007 NCAA II national champions were previously the top-ranked team in both the 2007 final poll and 2008 preseason poll, marking the first number-one ranking in program history.
UT faces third-ranked West Florida on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
