COLUMBUS, Ga. - Tusculum College (2-3) turned the tides of a 1-0 deficit to take a 3-1 victory over The University of Tampa (4-1) in women's soccer action. The game was played at the Walden Soccer Complex on the campus of Columbus State University.
Junior Samantha Kay got the Spartans on the board first as she took a pass from freshman Andrea Arnone in bounced it over the Pioneer keeper. It marked Kay's first goal of the season and came in the 13th minute.
After heading to the half with a 1-0 UT lead, Tusculum registered its first goal at the 60:49 mark, followed by the game-winner in the 72nd minute. The final goal came in the 85th minute.
Leah Cesanek started in goal for Tampa, finishing with two saves. Tampa maintained a slight edge in shots, 11-10, with a 5-4 margin for TC in shots on goal.
Tampa returns to action on Sunday versus Lander University. The game will begin at 11 a.m. in Columbus.
