Charlotte White Named SSC’s Top Defensive Player
ORLANDO, Fla. - The University of Tampa's Charlotte White has garnered Sunshine State Conference Defensive Women's Soccer Player of the Week accolade.
White, a senior defender from Seattle, Wash., led the Spartans to a pair of SSC road shutouts last week. White and her back line colleagues began the week by allowing just two shots on goal in a 1-0 win at Eckerd. She also factored in the Spartans' offensive fortunes in the contest, assisting on UT's game-winning goal in the 61st minute.
The Tampa defense tightened its grip even more in a 2-0 win at Nova Southeastern, preventing the Sharks from taking a single shot on frame.
