Gabby Russo Earns Second SSC Weekly Honor

WINTER PARK, Fla. - The University of Tampa's Gabby Russo picked up her second weekly honor this season and joined Florida Tech's Julia Kantor as the Sunshine State Conference Women's Soccer Players of the Week presented by VALIC.

Russo, a junior midfielder from Middleton, Mass., scored the go-ahead goal against Barry in the 72nd minute on a break-away up the middle of the field. After Barry forced overtime, Russo assisted on the game-winning goal just three minutes into the extra period. Against Nova Southeastern, Russo netted her sixth goal of the season in a 3-0 win to keep No. 5 Tampa undefeated.
