UT’s Chelsea Martin Named Women’s Soccer Player of the Week
WINTER PARK, Fla. - Tampa's Chelsea Martin and Barry's Becca Rogers have been selected Sunshine State Conference Women's Soccer Players of the Week presented by VALIC.
Martin, a freshman midfielder from Bradenton, Fla., figured in both of the No. 13 Spartans' game-winning goals during two-game SSC road swing. Martin scored the game's only goal at Nova Southeastern just six minutes into regulation. After 70 minutes of scoreless soccer at Eckerd, Martin set-up the game-winning goal in the 71st minute for a 1-0 victory. Tampa improves to 13-1-1, 3-1-1 in SSC play.
