
Katherine Hostage Named SSC Player of the Week
MELBOURNE, Fla. - University of Tampa women's soccer standout Katherine Hostage was rewarded for a pair of dominating efforts with a Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week honor.
Hostage holds this week's Offensive Player of the Week honor following four goals across two Tampa victories. The Spartans took down Alabama - Huntsville, 3-0, following a hat trick by Hostage. The Southborough, Massachusetts product scored unassisted in the 17th minute and was fed the ball in the 19th minute by Stephanie DeLaforcade and by Madison McElhone in the 65th minute. Hostage scored an unassisted goal in the 67th minute of UT's 3-0 win over Minnesota State - Moorhead, extending her scoring streak to five games dating back to last season. The weekly award is the second of her career.
