
Spartans' Stay Undefeated in Tie Against Rollins
TAMPA, Fla. – The No. 19 Tampa Spartans saw their four-game win streak to start the season end with a 0-0 tie against the Rollins Tars in the SSC opener for both teams on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
FIRST HALF: No scoring occurred in the first half with Rollins recording the lone shot on goal. The Tars managed more offensive pressure, outshooting the Spartans 5-2 and taking nine corner kicks in the half compared to just one for Tampa.
SECOND HALF: The second half was physical, but neither team could put a goal across. Tampa goalkeeper Aidan Smith tallied four saves to continue her streak of shutouts to begin the season while forward Sydni Dennis recorded the only shot on goal for the Spartans. An offside call in the 88th minute on a breakaway chance for the Spartans stifled the team's best scoring opportunity of the game.
