TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa Spartans suffered a 2-0 defeat against the Florida Tech Panthers.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
FIRST HALF: While both teams saw multiple chances, Florida Tech was the first to convert. In the 37th minute, Savannah Oxley scored from a corner kick, with an assist from Kajsa Ekstrom.
SECOND HALF: Florida Tech extended their lead by scoring an early goal from Marem Ndiongue in the 53rd minute. The Spartans struggled to find the back of the net as the Panthers continued to maintain control of the ball for the majority of the half.
INSIDE THE STATS:
- Aidan Smith recorded three saves.
- The Spartans were outshot by the Panthers 11-5.
- Both teams received a yellow card, with Brooke Steigerwalt drawing the card for the Spartans.
