Tampa Baseball, Softball Pair Represented on Academic Team
TAMPA, Fla. - University of Tampa baseball player Chris Rosenbaum and Kelly Glover from softball were honored on their respective ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District teams. The voters consisted of member of the College Sports information Directors of America (CoSIDA), which will announce its 2007 CoSIDA Academic All-American list at a later date.
Rosenbaum, a catcher for the number-one ranked Spartans, carried a 3.90 GPA while earning his undergraduate degree in Finance. He currently carries a 3.78 mark while working towards an MBA. The Castleton, N.Y., native earned first-team academic all-district honors for the first time in his career. While starting 44 of 45 games played this season, Rosenbaum is hitting .340 with one home run and 33 RBI.
Glover, a senior centerfielder from Tampa, was named second-team academic all-district for the first time in her career. She currently owns a 3.75 GPA while working towards completion of a degree in Biology. She also earned second-team all-Sunshine state Conference honors this season after hitting .315 with four home runs and 26 RBI.
