UT Men and Women Set To Host Lynn
TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa women's and men's basketball teams are set to host the Lynn University Fighting Knights on Wednesday at the Bob Martinez Athletics Center.
The women take the court at 5:30 p.m., while the men follow at 7:30 p.m.
The Spartan men (4-14) are coming off a 59-52 loss to Florida Tech on Wednesday. Senior guard Ashton Graham leads Tampa with 13.2 points per game and 4.8 rebounds per game. Graham was able score a game high 24 points in Wednesday's loss to Florida Tech.
Other notable scorers are junior forward Callum Townsend (11.6 ppg) and sophomore forward Stefon Barfield (7.0 ppg).
The Spartans women (8-10) fell to Florida Tech, 69-57 on
Wednesday. Senior center Jaleesa Harmon leads all scorers with 13.1
points per game and 4.7 rebounds per game.
Other notable scorers are junior forward Moriah Hodge (12.1 ppg)
and sophomore guard Illyssa Vivo (11.1 ppg). Hodge and Vivo scored
18 points a piece in Wednesday's affair with Florida Tech.
Lynn's men (10-10) has dropped four of its last six games. Both wins came on the road. Senior guard Josh Garcia averages a team high 12.2 points per game for Lynn this season.
Lynn's women (10-8) have won three of its last six games. Junior guard Kira Harvey leads the way for the Fighting Knights this season with 12.3 points per game.
Tickets will be available at the gate for $5 (adults) and $3 (children and senior citizens). UT students will be admitted for free with a valid student ID.
