UT To Clash With Florida Tech On Senior Night
TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa women's and men's basketball teams are set to host the Florida Tech Panthers on Saturday at the Bob Martinez Athletics Center on senior night.
The ceremony will take place before the women's tip off at 2:00 p.m. Seniors, Jaleesa Harmon and Sarah Wickham will be honored in their last home game as Spartans.
Seniors, Ashton Graham, Osby Kelly and Corey Pelot will be honored prior to the 4:00 p.m. start for the men.
The Spartan men (6-19) are coming off a 85-76 loss to Florida Southern on Wednesday. Senior guard Ashton Graham leads Tampa with 14.6 points per game and 4.5 rebounds per game. Other notable scorers are junior forward Callum Townsend (9.1 ppg) and sophomore forward Stefon Barfield (7.6 ppg).
The Spartans women (10-15) defeated Eckerd 46-45 in its last home game on Feb. 15. Senior center Jaleesa Harmon leads all scorers with 13.0 points per game and 4.4 rebounds per game. Other notable scorers are sophomore guard Illyssa Vivo (11.9 ppg) and junior forward Moriah Hodge (11.4 ppg).
Florida Tech's men (20-5) have won five straight dating back to Feb. 8. Florida Tech's women (17-8) have won five of its last six games.
Tickets will be available at the gate for $5 (adults) and $3 (children and senior citizens). UT students will be admitted for free with a valid student ID.
