Bio

Rodd Kelley was a 1993 first-team All-American and South Region Player of the Year. A member of the 1992 NCAA World Series all-tournament team, he was also a 1991 and 1993 first-team all-South Region player. The four-time all-South selection was also chosen to the NCAA South Regional all-tournament team. The 1993 SSC Player of the Year was also first-team all-SSC. He was a four-time all-SSC member as he was on the second-team in 1991, 1992 and 1994. UT’s all-time leader with 938 at bats also ranks fourth with 241 runs, third with 298 hits, fifth with 55 doubles, 10th with nine triples, fifth with 431 total bases, second with 135 walks and third with 99 stolen bases. He hit over .300 each year while concluding career with a .318 batting average and also registered 20 home runs and 119 RBI. He also ranks as Tampa’s single-season leader with 64 games started in 1993 and 279 at bats in 1993. A member of the 1992 and 1993 national championship teams, he enjoyed a professional career while playing for the single A team for the Los Angeles Angels.
