Bio

After his football career at Tampa ended, King went on to become a coach. He became a backfield coach at Robinson High School from the mid 50’s to the mid 60’s. He also coached receivers and tight ends at the University of Tampa from the mid 60’s until the program ended in 1975. During his coaching career, he coached eight All-American football players. After the football program at Tampa ended, he was the Committee Chairman and President of the Sports Hall of Fame at the University of Tampa for over 25 years. He also served on the selection committee for the Outback Bowl.
