Tampa Drops Final Matches of the FIU Surf and Turf
MIAMI, Fla. – The University of Tampa Spartans were on the road this weekend, as they continued their weekend battles at the FIU Surf and Turf. The Spartans took on Tulane this morning and #12 Florida Athlantic in the afternoon, dropping both matchups 3-2 and 4-1 respectively.
Dual 1
Julia Oswald and Rachel Rosequist breezed past their opponents in just two sets, and Katie McKiel and Tatiana Gutierrez would also take their opponents down, in three sets for this duo. Other Spartan duos fought with close results, but were not able to clinch the overall win.

Tampa would struggle a bit more in their afternoon matchups. The Saturday evening competition against #12 Florida Atlantic would be a bit too much for the Spartans this time, but the duo of Claire Overton and Payton Brunick would pull off the only defeat FAU would face against UT.

The Spartans Beach Volleyball team will return to action to round out their last matches of March this Wednesday, March 31 at home at 2:00pm vs. Saint Leo and 6:00pm vs. Florida Southern.
