Spartans Go Undefeated in the Eckerd College Battle of the Bay

HOW IT HAPPENED:
v.s. Saint Leo: The Spartans began the day taking on their cross town opponents from Saint Leo. The 1's (Julia Oswald and Rachel Rosequist) as well as the 2's (Kiersten Anderson and Payton Brunick) both went to three sets against the lions, both pairings coming out on top. The 3's pairing for the Spartans took their match in straight sets and the 5's pairing of (Claire Overton and Valerie Rosequist) dominated their matchup winning both sets by five or more points. The Spartans claimed all matchups but the 4's and claimed a 4-1 victory.
v.s. Missouri State: The Spartans switched up their 4's pairing from Katie McKiel and Tatiana Gutierrez to McKiel and Selina Pfuner which proved to be effective, taking their matchup in three sets. The 1's were dominant taking their match by 10 points or more in both sets and the 3's, 5's, and 6's all took their matchups in two sets. Tampa ended the weekend 4-0 and carry good momentum heading into a challenging weekend.
