Two Spartans Tabbed As Division II All-Americans
TAMPA, Fla. - University of Tampa beach volleyball players, Payton Brunick and Julia Oswald earn Division II All-American honors.
Payton Brunick becomes just the fifth Spartan in program history to be named as an All-American. The junior started off the year in the 2's slot but would end up playing most of the year in the 1's slot. Brunick amassed 21 victories between the two spots including a victory over No. 2 Florida State in the Tampa Tournament.
Julia Oswald was named as an All-American for the second time in her career as a Spartan. Oswald first secured All-American honors in 2021 when she and Rachel Rosequist became the first players to be named as All-Americans in the program's history. She is also the only two-time All-American for the program. The graduate student has spent most of her career playing in the 1's pairs and is the only player to be a part of all three national championship victories. Oswald compiled 21 match victories this season including a win over No. 2 ranked Florida State in the 1's slot and ends her career as one of the most decorated players in the program's history.
