Tampa Welcomes Saint Leo for Regular Season Finale

TAMPA, Fla. – The Spartans will host their final regular-season match as Saint Leo comes to town for the University of Tampa women's beach volleyball Senior Day.

About the Spartans: The University of Tampa women's beach volleyball team enters the weekend riding a six-match winning streak, bringing their 2025 season record to 10-8. Earlier this season, Tampa traveled to Saint Leo for a Sunshine State Conference tri-match against the Lions and Barry University, where the Spartans swept both opponents. Most recently, Tampa competed in Eckerd's Battle on the Bay, where they showcased their Bay Area dominance with four consecutive victories, including a second win of the season over Eckerd.

About Saint Leo: The Saint Leo University women's beach volleyball team is maintaining an 11-7 record so far in 2025. The Lions have won an impressive eight of their last nine matches, with their only loss in that span coming at the hands of the Spartans in the form of a 5-0 sweep. Saint Leo is a dismal 1-15 all-time when matched up against Tampa, including eight straight losses since the 2021 season. This past weekend, the Lions hosted New College of Florida and Warner for Senior Day and swept both challengers.
