Tampa to Host NCAA South Regional
TAMPA, Fla. - The NCAA has announced that top-ranked University of Tampa has been selected to host the 2007 NCAA II Baseball South Regional. The regional, which is scheduled to begin on Thursday, will consist of six teams and will send the winner to the 2007 NCAA II National Championship Series in Montgomery Ala., on May 25 to June 1.
The defending national champion Spartans will host their second consecutive regional while making their eighth consecutive NCAA tournament appearance. The four-time national champions also carry an eight game postseason winning streak.
Tickets may be purchased at the gate and will be sold for $10 (adults) and $5 (students with ID/senior citizens).
