Spartans to Continue Title Defense Against Cal State-Los Angeles
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The top-ranked University of Tampa baseball team will square off against seventh-ranked Cal-State-Los Angeles in the opening round of the NCAA II Baseball Championships. After winning the South Regional, the Spartans will meet the champions from the West in a Friday evening matchup that will begin at 6:30 p.m.
The tournament, which will conclude with the national championship game on June 1, will be held at Montgomery's Riverwalk Stadium. Tournament passes (10 sessions) may be reserved in advance by calling (334) 240-4200. Advance tickets must be picked up by 6 p.m. (CT) on Thursday. Tournament passes will be sold for $25 (reserved seats) and $20 (general admission) in advance. Tournament passes purchased at the gate will be sold for $30 (reserved seats) and $25 (general admission). Single session tickets may also be purchased at the stadium for $6 (reserved), $5 (general admission) and $4 (student general admission).
The University of Tampa will offer live stats and a webcast for all Spartan games in Montgomery. This may be accessed through UT's athletic website, www.tampaspartans.com.
