
Scott Chapman Earns South Region Gold Glove
TAMPA, Fla. - University of Tampa baseball player Scott Chapman has been named a recipient of a Rawlings South Region Gold Glove as a pitcher.
With a current record of 7-5, Chapman has a perfect fielding percentage while registering six putouts and 23 assists in 29 chances. While on the mound, the Spartans have recorded two double plays while throwing out five runners behind Chapman.
Each member of the first team will be eligible for NCAA Division II Rawlings All-American Gold Glove consideration, which will be selected on Sunday, May 25, 2008 in Sauget, Ill., in conjunction with the national championship Tournament.
