Senior Kevin Ferguson Earns SSC Pitcher of the Week Honors

ORLANDO, Fla. - University of Tampa left-handed pitcher Kevin Ferguson earned Sunshine State Conference Pitcher of the Week honors as announced by the conference office on Monday. The senior from Deltona, Fla. threw seven innings while allowing one earned run on six hits, striking out a career-high 11 batters on Friday night in a 16-2 win against Rollins College.

Ferguson is currently tied with Daniel Foltz for second on the team in wins after picking up his sixth victory of the season on Friday. The 5-11, 185-pound starting pitcher leads the Spartans with 73 strikeouts in 70 innings pitched this season, and has posted a 3.47 earned run average in 12 starts this season.
