Spartans Move Up To #15 In Latest Poll

TAMPA, Fla. - After sweeping Sunshine State Conference foe Rollins College in the weekend set, The University of Tampa baseball team moved up four spots to No. 15 in this week's Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Division II Coaches' Poll. The Spartans are now 35-12 on the season and 13-5 in the SSC.

Tampa took game one against the Tars 8-2 on Friday night before taking both games of the doubleheader on Saturday. Fellow SSC teams Barry, Florida Southern, and Lynn are also ranked in the poll. Barry moved up to fourth in the nation after sweeping Nova Southeastern and Lynn entered back into the poll after taking all three meetings with Florida Southern.

The Spartans travel to Miami Shores to take on Barry this weekend in a critical SSC matchup after a Thursday night game against Palm Beach Atlantic. UT will offer livestats through www.tampaspartans.com.
