
Baseball Ranked Seventh In Regional Rankings, 18th In National Poll
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - With one regular season series remaining against Sunshine State Conference rival Florida Southern, The University of Tampa baseball team is ranked seventh in the latest NCAA II South Region rankings.
With a 36-14 overall record, the Spartans are also ranked No. 18 in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper poll.
The top eight teams in the region will compete in the NCAA South Regional, which is scheduled for May 14-18 at a campus site. An automatic bid will be given to the champions of the Sunshine State Conference (SSC), Gulf Coast Conference (GSC) and the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC).
UT will travel to Lakeland to take on the Florida Southern College Moccasins. The series will begin on Friday at 7 p.m. and will conclude with a doubleheader on Sunday.
