Josh Bowman Earns First Team Academic Honors
TAMPA, Fla. - University of Tampa pitcher Josh Bowman was named to the CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Baseball Team as a first-team selection.
Recognized as the elite academic award, all first-team selections will now appear on the ballot for the 2009 CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American Team. Voting is done by Sports Information Directors.
Bowman, a native of St. Petersburg, carries a 3.46 GPA while majoring in business management. Also UT's top starter, the sophomore is 4-3 on the season while registering 48 strikeouts in 43 innings.
