
Tyler Cox Earns South Region Gold Glove
TAMPA, Fla. - University of Tampa baseball player Tyler Cox has been named a recipient of a Rawlings South Region Gold Glove as an outfielder. He is one of nine players to receive the award for the region.
While starting 54 of 55 games played as the team's center fielder, Cox finished the season with a perfect fielding percentage while committing no errors. With 121 putouts, the junior from Cocoa, Fla., also turned in three outfield assists.
Each member of the first team will be eligible for NCAA Division II Rawlings All-American Gold Glove consideration, which will be selected following the national championship tournament.
