
Tampa Moves Up Two Spots In National Poll
TAMPA, Fla. - Following a non-conference victory and sweep of Saint Leo University in this weekend's Sunshine State Conference series, The University of Tampa baseball team (34-5) is now the highest its been all season at No. 2 in the latest Ping! Baseball NCAA II National Poll.
The Spartans took down Florida Memorial on Tuesday by a 16-5 score before steam-rolling the Lions over the weekend. The victories extended the Tampa winning streak to a school record 22 games as the Spartans are 15-0 in the SSC for the first time in program history.
The Spartans will travel to Florida Tech on Tuesday for a non-conference meeting with the Panthers at 3 p.m. UT then heads to Rollins on Friday for a three-game SSC set with the Tars.
