
Tampa Falls 10 Places in Latest Poll
TUCSON, Ariz. - After being swept in their three-game series against the now No. 8 Barry University Bucs, the University of Tampa baseball team plummets to No. 18 in the nation as per the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper's latest NCAA Division II Baseball poll.
The drop represents the worst ranking the Spartans have held this season. UT currently sits fourth in the conference behind Barry, Florida Southern College and Nova Southeastern University respectively.
Tampa (27-13) was roughed up in their latest Sunshine State Conference matchup as they were out-matched by the Barry Buccaneers. UT was outscored 25-8 as they dropped the crucial conference series with the SSC leader.
