
Tampa Rises Six Spots In National Poll
TUCSON, Ariz. - After benefiting as the victor in two games of a three game road series against conference foe Florida Southern College, the University of Tampa baseball team moves up the national poll six spots to capture the No. 12 rank in the latest Collegiate Baseball Newspaper's NCAA Division II Baseball poll.
Tampa (29-14) moved up in the poll after receiving a previous No. 18 rank only to bounce back on the road against FSC outscoring the Mocs 19-17.
UT is back in action tomorrow at 6 p.m. to play host to fellow SSC opponent Florida Tech. Tampa and FIT met back in March as the Spartans came up with the series victory over the Panthers in two out of the three games as UT leads the all-time series record history against Florida Tech by an 81-24 margin.
