Heath Pritchard Earns Region Player of the Week Honor

DALLAS - After being named Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week, University of Tampa baseball player Heath Pritchard was also tabbed as the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association of America (NCBWA) South Region Player of the Week.

With the SSC title on the line, the UT senior designated hitter from Nassau, Bahamas helped lead the No. 2 Spartans to a series sweep over No. 9 Nova Southeastern.

Pritchard batted .556 with four RBI and seven runs scored. He hit safely in all three games, posting a .615 on-base percentage. He also belted three home runs en route to a 1.556 slugging percentage. Pritchard had one homer in a 10-1 Tampa win in the opening game of the series and then slammed a pair of home runs in a 12-4 victory in the finale.
