UT Set to Open NCAA South Regional Play

TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa will open postseason play on Thursday as the host of the 2012 NCAA Division II South Region Baseball Tournament with a trip to the NCAA Championships on the line.

The Spartans (38-8) will meet Stillman College (29-16) in game two of Thursday's action, which is scheduled for a 1:15 p.m., start time. UT is the No. 1 seed as Stillman, the champions of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, are No. 8.

Tickets will be available at the gate for $10 (adults) and $5 (students and senior citizens).
