Spartans to Battle Bobcats in Weekend Series
The University of Tampa baseball team will host the Georgia College Bobcats for a home matchup.

TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa baseball team will host the Georgia College Bobcats in a weekend series.
The Matchup: No. 2 University of Tampa vs. Georgia College
Date/Time: Friday February 10th at 6 p.m., Saturday February 11th at 6 p.m., and Sunday February 12th at 1 p.m.
Location: University of Tampa Baseball Field | Tampa, Fla.
About the Spartans: After a three game sweep of the Bentley University Falcons, Tampa is 3-0 on the season. The Spartans are led in batting average by Andrew DiLaqua with .667 after going 2-3 with one home run for the weekend. Richie Rivera and Kevin Santa also top the batting averages charts, both with .455, after going 5-11. R. Rivera with two doubles, a triple, and two RBIs. Santa recorded a double, triple, and four RBIs. The pitching staff is led by junior Garrett Cave who made an appearance for four innings, only allowed two hits, and struck out 10 hitters. Christian Calleja joins him with a 0.00 ERA, five innings pitched, five strikeouts and only allwoing one hit.
About the Bobcats: Georgia College is coming off of a weekend sweep of Ohio Valley. The Bobcats are led in the batting order by Aaron Moore who is hitting .667 after going 2-3 over the weekend. He is followed by Cal Gentry who is batting .600 after going 6-10 with three RBIs. Colin LoCurto leads the pitching staff with 2.2 innings pitched and a team high six strikeouts. As a team, the Bobcats are batting .324.
Series History: Tampa owns the all-time series with a 43-18 overall record. The Spartans have swept the Bobcats the past two seasons.
Tickets: Tickets for are $5 for adults, senior citizens and coaches. Children under 12 will be admitted free. UT students, faculty and staff will be admitted free with a valid student ID.
