
J.D. Osborne Earns Third SSC Player of the Week Honors
MELBOURNE, Fla. - University of Tampa baseball senior J.D. Osborne has been selected as the Sunshine State Conference Baseball Player of the Week for the third time spanning March 13-March 19, as announced by the conference office Monday.
Osborne takes Player of the Week for a third time this season after leading Tampa to a series sweep against No. 3 Nova Southeastern. Osborne recorded a .533 BA / .500 OB% / 1.200 Slugging slash line against the Sharks by going 8-15 at the plate. The Whitby, Ontario native tallied nine RBI, five runs, three home runs, and a walk. Osborne's top game was the last in the series, where he went 4-for-6 at the plate with three RBI, two runs scored, and a homerun. With the play of Osborne, Tampa improves to 19-5 overall and 8-1 in SSC play.
