
J.D. Osborne Earns Fourth SSC Player of the Week Honors
MELBOURNE, Fla. - University of Tampa baseball senior J.D. Osborne has been selected as the Sunshine State Conference Baseball Player of the Week for the fourth time spanning April 17-April 23, as announced by the conference office Monday.
Osborne takes Player of the Week for a fourth time this season after leading Tampa to a series win against No. 15 Florida Southern. Osborne recorded a .417 BA / .533 OB% / .917 Slugging slash line against the Moccasins by going 5-12 at the plate. The Whitby, Ontario native tallied six runs, four RBI, three walks, and two home runs. Osborne's top game was the last in the series, where he went 4-for-5 at the plate with four RBI, three runs scored. With the play of Osborne, Tampa improves to 29-11 overall and 15-3 in SSC play.
