
David Lebron Named to Regional All-Tournament Team
Junior recognized following dominant outing
CLEVELAND, Miss. - University of Tampa pitcher David Lebron was one of two pitchers named to the NCAA Division II South Region All-Tournament team, announced following the completion of the tournament on Monday.
Lebron, a junior from Homestead, Fla., threw a career-high in strikeouts with 15 against defending national champion Nova Southeastern on Saturday. The 15 punchouts were the most in a game for the Spartans since Sergio Perez in 2006. Lebron also had a season-high for innings pitched with 8.0 in the complete game.
Delta State University, the host and number-one seed in the region, won the 2017 NCAA Division II South Region Baseball Championship and advances to the NCAA Division II Baseball Championships at The Ball Park in Grand Prairie, Texas.
