
Connor Crile Earns SSC Player of Week Accolade
Helped No. 3 Spartans to sweep over Lynn on road.
MELBOURNE, Fla. - University of Tampa baseball player Connor Crile was recognized as the Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week for his performances in a three-game series at Lynn University over the weekend.
Crile is named Player of the Week after leading Tampa to a series sweep over Lynn University. Crile went 6-for-13 across three games while recording six RBIs and nine total bases in the series. His top performance of the week came in the final game against the Fighting Knights, where he went 2-for-5 with a home run and four RBIs. The senior finished the week with a .462/.500/.692 slash line as Tampa moves to 25-5 overall and 14-1 in SSC play.
Athletes of the Week are chosen from a pool of nominees for their performances during the week of March 26 - April 1, 2018. Athletes are nominated by Sports Information Directors of member institutions. Nova Southeastern's Devin Conn was also honored as the SSC Pitcher of the Week.
