TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa baseball beat Rollins College in the first game off the SSC series.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Danny Sirven led off the inning with a double to right center. Derr and Mangrum walked to make the bases load. Danny Blair followed with a walk scoring Sirven. Nick DeTringo walked bringing in Derr. Drew Ehrhard scored three with a double to right center. B4 | 5-0 Tampa
- Alec Aleywine started the inning with a single up the middle. Stevie Mangrum hit a two-run home run to straightaway center. B6 | 7-0 Tampa
- The inning started with a Yorvis Torrealba walk. Steven Smith took his place and advanced to second. Sam Freitas scorched a single scoring Smith. B7 | 8-0 Tampa
- The Tars scored three with two outs in the ninth. T9 | 8-2 Tampa
INSIDE THE STATS:
- Keven Pimentel chucked seven scoreless innings with 11 punchouts.
- Ehrhard went 2-4 on the day with three RBI.
- Mangrum finished 1-2 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored.
OUTSIDE THE BOX:
- Tampa is now 14-8 in the SSC.
- Pimentel reached a career high with 11 strikeouts as well as improving to 9-2 on the year.
- Mangrum hit his sixth home run of the season.
