Tampa Baseball Crowned 2021 SSC Champs

MELBOURNE, Fla. - With Sunshine State Conference play complete for the University of Tampa baseball program, the SSC has announced the Spartans as its 2021 Champions.

Tampa currently stands at 16-4 on the season, and wrapped up league play with a 15-3 record, four games ahead of second-place Barry University.

The championship marks the 20th SSC title for the Spartans, and the fourth in the last five years. It is also the 14th under current head coach Joe Urso.

UT will compete in the NCAA South Regional on May 27-30 in Pensacola, Fla. The winner of the 6-team regional will advance to the NCAA National Championship Series on June 5-12 in Cary, N.C.
