
Spartans Prevail in Tuesday Night Battle With Flagler
TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa Spartans win their ninth win of the year, making it eight wins in a row against the Flagler College Saints.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Alex Canney took the mound for the Spartans in his first career collegiate start. The first four innings were scoreless for the right hander, and he got some run support in the bottom of the second and third as the Spartans took an early lead | 2-0 Tampa. In the top of the fifth, the Saints got two runs back from a double by Ashton Thomas to right | 2-2 Tied. Macallister Jorgensen reached base on a error by the second baseman that scored one, and a sacrifice fly from Josh Rulli scored another that regained the lead in the bottom of the sixth | 4-2 Tampa. Dalton Ross records two scoreless innings and Brayden Nelson comes in for the save in the ninth | Final: 4-2 Tampa
