
Spartans Win Last of 16-game Homestand
TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa win their last of the 16-game homestand against the Timberwolves, improving their record to 17-2.

All-Time Series: This was the second meeting against the Timberwolves, Tampa now leads 2-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Dan Sullivan started the game off with a two-run blast to left-center to give the Spartans an early lead. That was his sixth on the year | 2-0 Tampa. LHP Cameron Sereda entered the game in the top of the second due to a Alex Canney injury. A Drew Ehrhard single up the middle, scored Jordan Lala from second base. J.D. Urso scored two more with a single to right-center. Another one was tacked one with a sacrifice fly from Luke Glancy | 6-0 Tampa. Ehrhard grew the lead larger with his third home run of the year in the bottom of the fourth | 9-0 Tampa. Sereda was relieved by Michael D'Emo in the top of the fifth. In the bottom of the fifth, a couple of Spartan singles from Nicholas Winkelmeyer and Macallister Jorgensen extended the lead | 11-0 Tampa. Drew Martin made his second appearance of the year in the top of sixth, in relief of D'Emo. The Timberwolves got one back off of Martin in the top of the sixth | 11-1 Tampa. John Malcom smashed a double to left-center | 14-1 Tampa. Timberwolves scratched another one across on Aidan Brown with a single up the middle in the top of the eighth | 14-2 Tampa.
INSIDE THE STATS:
- Ehrhard had four RBI, with three runs, and three hits in as many at bats.
- Urso, Glancy, Malcom, and Sullivan each had two RBI.
- Sereda earned the win, with 2.2 IP, with three K's in relief.
